Project Overview

Vision Magazine is a regional lifestyle and business publication serving Essex and surrounding areas. Over the course of a long-term collaboration, I designed a wide range of print advertisements for diverse local businesses, service providers, and independent brands.

The work required producing visually engaging, brand-appropriate adverts under tight publication deadlines while maintaining high standards of layout clarity, typography, and print accuracy.

Design Approach

Each advertisement was developed to balance visual impact, readability, and brand consistency within the constraints of magazine formats.

Projects frequently involved:

- Interpreting varied client briefs and brand requirements

- Designing within established visual identities and guidelines

- Establishing visual hierarchy for fast reader comprehension

- Ensuring typography clarity and composition balance

- Delivering production-ready artwork for print

Where clients lacked established branding, adverts were designed to create a credible and professional visual presence aligned with their market positioning.

Workflow & Delivery

To support fast editorial schedules, a streamlined production workflow was established for rapid asset exchange and approval. This enabled consistent 24-hour turnaround times from receipt of final content and imagery to delivery of print-ready adverts.

This process demanded strong attention to detail, efficient layout decision-making, and strict adherence to print specifications.
